CryptoQR codes let people buy goods at PicknPay. They have 1600 stores in South Africa right now. They sell groceries, value added services, clothing, travel tickets, do bill payments, etc.
CryptoQR is a project by moneybadger.co.za and plans to expand.
Blink already supports scanning these QR codes. See code example here: https://github.com/GaloyMoney/galoy-client/pull/331/files

Would be nice to show what wallet you choose in Alby Go on the send/recieve screen. (So I'm sure that I'm using personal not bitcoin club one) Could be labeled at the top middle.
It would be nice to view the on-chain saving balance. (as well as currency conversion equivalent). Some mgmt features would be nice to stop the need for a separate on-chain wallet solution.
I would love to see a feature that allows users to store their Nostr nsec keys from the Alby browser extension and sync them securely between the extension and Alby Go. Many users, including myself, were hoping for a way to keep our Nostr nsec keys on our mobile device in an Alby app. When Alby launched the mobile app Alby Go, I sensed some users were disappointed when there was no way to place their Nostr keys on it for safekeeping, just as they did with their browser extension.
It makes sense to think that if the browser extension is a wallet interface and a Nostr signer or safekeeping, Alby go that is also a wallet interface, would also become or have at some point a Nostr signer, or at least be a Nostr keys safekeeping on mobile.
The idea would be to have a secure option where Alby Go can "read" the nsec key from the browser extension and store it safely on the mobile app. This would simplify access to the Nostr nsec keys on our mobiles, making it unnecessary to transfer the key manually through methods like email or messaging apps. The Nostr nsec key could be kept just for safekeeping, no need for a full Nostr client, just easy access for quick copy-pasting when using other mobile Nostr apps.
This would make managing Nostr keys much more convenient and secure for those of us who use multiple devices and wants to safekeep the Nostr nsec key on our mobile as well, in addition to have it in our browser plugin.
It would be cool to be able to switch the default wallet and change order for having multiple wallets in Alby Go.
I setup Alby Hub for our Meetup group and a personal one. Loving it so far. Want to make sure I don't mix them up in Alby Go. Maybe even add wallet name on top of the Send/Receive screen.
WebLN is not available on mobile if I don't have the Alby mobile extension installed on Firefox mobile.
At the same time some QR codes don't offer a simple copy invoice feature. E.g. https://chat.frankie-gpt.com/
So how do we get the payment information into a wallet.
Reading the QR code information from a simple screenshot could help.

Is it possible to have the option to hide the currency below the sats view on the Alby Go app? I'd like to enable it only when needed.
Please add a safari browser extension
To know where to spend sats

If I click a link to pay a lightning invoice in another app and choose to pay with Alby Go then Alby Go will open to the "Confirm Payment" screen showing the invoice amount and the yellow pay button.
The problem is if I have multiple linked wallets I do not know which wallet this payment is being made out of (unless I remember which wallet I last had opened) and if I want to change wallets I have to cancel the payment, swap wallets, go back to the initial app, request a new invoice, open Alby Go again and then press Pay.
It would be an improvement if the "Confirm Payment" screen displayed which wallet this payment was coming from and allowed me to tap on the name to change wallet if desired.
A seperate issue but on the same "Confirm Payment" screen it requests camera access however as no camera is being used on this screen I do not see why camera access is requested to send the payment.
From balance screen, one could swipe left/right to access their other wallets
A Smart Watch Widget version of Alby Go that pays invoices utilizing the NFC capabilities of the Apple Watch, or any other smart watch with NFC enabled payments.
Would be cool to establish NWC connections from within the app itself, example letβs say Iβm on Damus (screenshot attached) and I click βConnect to Alby Walletβ and the Alby Go app opens up n prompts me to set the parameters of the connection n execute it and automatically connects to Damus.
