Static public address for a Hub
M
MoritzOct 7, 2024
As a Hub user I can peer with a publicly reachable node so that this node can open a channel to me.
If I had public IP a node could open a channel to me without me having to peer first.

We're using Alby Hub wallets for merchants on our platform (Flash), and a static node address would really help us automate channel openings and manage liquidity at scale.
Right now it's hard to do this programmatically because the node address isnβt stable. This feature would make onboarding much smoother for our merchants and easier for us to support.
Would love to see this added!
This is needed
Absolutely desired! π We would like to set up several local Meetup Community AlbyHub and need a lot of inbound liquidity, which can be provided by the parent EINUNDZWANZIG Community Node in the form of channels. The costs are then borne by the EINUNDZWANIG node and not the individual AlbyHub Meetup Nodes / operators.
It's a must have imho to create a stable P2P network π
