I have the information like this:
Channel Reserves Unmet
You won't be able to make payments until you fill your channel reserve.
If I click on 'View channel reserves' this is what I see.

Yes. That's all correct. The display shows a reserve of 0/354 sats. Once you deposit more than 354 sats you can spend the sats.
The channel reserve is not a fee. You'll reserve it back once the channel is closed.

Is there a way to reduce the reserve in the node I've chosen or move to a different one? 280 000 sats is quite a lot to be honest. Is that an industry standard?

Why do you think the reserve is 280 000 sats?
It is 354 sats for the channel with Megalith LSP.
What can we improve here?
