Adjust Channel Capacity based on pending Account balance | ⚫ Alby Hub - 💡 Request a Feature

Default channel capacity was 1M sats (Megalith) but it was little large for my daily use.
So I spent unnecessary expenses.
Can you adjust channel capacity depending on our account balance?

yes.

To be honest, I just want to try new hub and see how it works.
I expected to open 250k sats channel at first because my balance was under 100k sats in my alby account.
It costs around 12,000 sats to open the channel, it was more than I thought.

P.S.
12,000 sats includes transaction fee and transfer fee.

I see. Fees for a 250k sats channel are around 20% lower only.
There are two points to consider:

with a 250k channel you can never receive or send a payment of >250k sats
the channel capacity is valuable because ideally the channel remains open for a long time without having to adjust the capacity if demand changes.

Hi, great feedback. Did you move your funds from the managed account to the new Hub? What was roughly the balance and what volume or channel capacity do you expect. We need to make it dependent on the migrated balance. But that would help us to understand by how much the channel capacity should be adjusted.
