Spanish localization for Alby Go (Latin America adoption)

Alby Go currently being available only in English creates a significant barrier for adoption in Spanish-speaking regions, especially in Latin America, where Bitcoin usage is growing rapidly.

Providing a full Spanish translation of the interface would greatly improve accessibility for new users who are not comfortable using apps in English. This is particularly important for onboarding non-technical users and communities that are just beginning their journey with Bitcoin.

Use case:
We are building a circular Bitcoin economy in Pichilemu, Chile (also known as β€œSatoshilemu”), where we onboard local merchants and individuals to use Bitcoin in their daily lives.

Many participants:

  • Are new to Bitcoin
  • Have limited technical knowledge
  • Prefer or require Spanish interfaces to feel confident using the tools

Without Spanish localization, onboarding becomes slower, more complex, and requires constant manual guidance.

Why this matters:

  • Reduces friction for first-time users
  • Increases trust and usability
  • Enables real-world adoption in local economies
  • Supports grassroots Bitcoin communities across Latin America

Additional note:
I’d be happy to collaborate or contribute to the Spanish translation if that helps accelerate implementation.
