Lightning addresses and backups for isolated wallets.

I host wallets for some friends and family. I'd love to have their isolated wallets fleshed out with features like LN addresses and backups of account balances.

I am concerned about the worst case scenario that my Alby Hub breaks down. If it loses all its data because the VPS crashes or is exposed to encryption by ransomware. With my own VPS or home node I can back up the data folder, with Alby Cloud I have no direct access. I must be able to ensure that I can either restore the complete sub-wallets or at least reconstruct the last wallet balance so that I can pay out manually.
I need this. You moved it unfortunately to "paying" customers.
I am a paying customer and need it for my website. I am creating lots of wallets. I am also open for a special offer.

That works today. Friends and Family can register for an Alby account on getalby.com, connect the Alby Hub sub-wallet and get a lightning address.

Moritz It is not working anymore and that is a bad policy thing. It used to work like this.
Scaling out your pricing - Ok but in the right way cutting down on services already granted is not the way !!

Services are not cut down. If you already have a custom lightning address, you may keep it of course.
Customizing lightning addresses is a Pro feature for now. Since sub-wallets created in Alby Hub require an Alby Account to receive a lightning addresses, they are naturally affected. But I understand the point that you expect all lightning addresses (incl. sub-wallets) to be customizable if you have a Pro subscription. We are going to discuss how we could offer that to you.
Moritz Thanks for looking into this. Perhaps one way would be to allow people you invited using your referral code to customize their LN address? Or perhaps implementing some kind of domain verification, so if my family all shares the same custom email domain, their Alby accounts would get customized LN addresses?
