Hey Moritz - passing on some updated feedback! a PWA would be a nice way to have Alby available as a standalone app.

Ideal app would be Phoenix / MUUN type UI
Agree combine lightning and onchain
Fingerprint login
Easy NIP57 and NOSTR integration
Include BTC maps link
Nice animation when successful send or receive
Quick login from with no splash screen

From Tarik:
Simple clean UI with dark mode (Phoenix is best)
Combine lightning and onchain wallets into one (not separated wallets)
Fingerprint login
NIP57 address to integrate with nostr ZAPS

Ideally, I should be able to sign tx via a hot wallet on mobile with hardware wallet integration built-in, similarly to how Brave has Ledger integration, just to give an example.
I've test out many other chains' mobile wallets and their internal DApp browsers, and it seems like that should be a secondary focus since you need more apps and use cases to make it practical. Not saying there isn't room, but Alby could become more of a cross-platform, a LA MetaMask, but for BTC on Lightning with no KYC or middle men, even with the ability to do a gift card/debit top-up to swap for SATS
I'm old school, been an internet user for 21 years now, and I still use desktop and laptops with web browsers over a phones mobile browser, so I'm used to the integration with a browser like Brave. I know there's Opera which had other integrations, but since this is BTC-only, getting a compatible web browser plugin extension with all the major browsers, would also give Alby a leg-up since no one else has done that

Make Alby Browser - like Brave (including add & security features) but replace BAT coin & Eth wallet with Alby plugin functionality.

Would you prefer a typical mobile lightning wallet or more like a mobile browser with Alby features? Do you have any use case in mind?

Moritz I was thinking a typical mobile lightning wallet. The specific use case is for having a seamless login experience for any apps that will support "Login with Lightning". For example, if the Washington Post app starts supporting Login with Lightning- when I click it, I want my phone to automatically open the Alby app so I can login.

Moritz I would prefer a fork of Chrome on Android with Alby built in. It is already possible to install Alby in the Kiwi browser (Chrome fork), but it doesn't work properly.
Should be possible to add some responsiveness to the Alby extension itself, and bundle it with the Chrome fork

Moritz I'd like to store my nostr privkey on my phone and use it to sign messages and other interactions in a nostr android app. Much like the browser extension works on desktop. I don't think an alby browser would have this capability but I'm not a mobile expert. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

vnprc Thanks for this feedback. You could do that already today. The The Kiwi browser on Android allows you to install the Alby browser extension. You can configure it in the same way as your desktop browser extension what allows you to access Nostr apps on mobile.
It is not yet mobile optimized though and will be improved.
Zeus works pretty well, try it meanwhile.
