Use case:
- Create lnauth account with Alby on PC browser
- use mobile browser to log into same website, it provides a lnurl for logging in
- Want to be able to use Alby on PC to authenticate by scanning phone with PC or pasting LNURL string into Alby

I will delete this discussion as resolved.
We now support copy-pasting the LNURL-auth string into Alby.
I want to be able to paste in a lightning:LNURL1xxxx link into alby to login to service without needing to click on something in the browser Alby is installed on. In other words, I need to login to another device where Alby can't be installed.
I think pasting a string in the first step would be easier to implement for us. would this help already?
Have you tried that with BlueWallet? The app should allow you to login into mobile websites. But you can also connect the specific BlueWallet account with Alby and use the account via Alby on the desktop.
Bluewallet doesn't support LNAuth, and when it does, it'll be incompatible with Alby's legacy lnauth mechanism
I think Bluewallet has LNAuth support already in master (not sure when it will be release) but yes, as you say it is only compatible with Alby when not using the legacy signing mode. (which we encourage)
I still think there should be a way to paste the LNAuth string somewhere into Alby to authenticate a login that isn't inside the browser that Alby is connected to. For example, if you're using Apple's Satanfari or some other browser that isn't supported by Alby on the same PC as Chrome or Firefox with the extension.
